100 posts / 100%

Hi all,

I am having a pretty easy Friday so far. I hope you are too. Yesterday was the 100th post. It was talking about my giveaway going on because of reaching 100 followers on the site. Thanks again, all and good luck if you enter the giveaway.

You may have noticed I haven’t mentioned weighing in the last few days. Due to a hormonal time I am currently retaining a butt load of water so I am ignoring the scale another day or two until my body gets back to the normal space.

I have some inspiration about how to make the next thigh guard prototype so want to get that done tomorrow. I sadly didn’t get my Total Gym time in yesterday because as I had an unusual work schedule yesterday. So, my goal for this weekend is TG or test walk Saturday, the swap TG or walk Sunday then trike ride Monday. Fingers crossed that all happens.

I’ve been avoiding Healthy Wage because I haven’t posted a loss in almost a week so it’s red and sad looking on the July Challenge.

I can hopefully get back in the green in the next day or two. If not I may do a 24 hour fast to reset things. We shall see.

Woo, busy busy weekend in coming as I have garden work to do as well.

Keep it going,

Kimmie

Big Steps and Announcement!

Hi all,

So Guess What! The site just surpassed 100 followers. This is fantastic to me and I am so grateful to all of you wonderful people for liking my journey enough to follow along.

To commemorate this I am going to have a giveaway raffle. This is totally free for anyone who wants to participate. There’s two ways people can enter this giveaway. Unfortunately, I have to limit it to the United States only. This is pretty spur of the moment and next time I will try to have options for other places.

So what is the prize? There are two options. The first is a Garmin Forerunner 35 watch. The second is $100 in cash.

Yes a prize worth $100 is what I am giving away. Prize or cash with no cost to you.

How do you enter?

The easiest way to enter will be like and share the post on the Facebook page Losing 100 Plus Pounds and Like the page there. Everyone who isn’t my relative who has already liked my page just has to like and share the post where I mention the giveaway.

For those who don’t use Facebook, you can enter by liking this blog post, leaving a comment on it saying you want in and sharing the post to Facebook, Twitter or another popular site WordPress tracks. I suggest using the Facebook option if possible because it makes contact usually easier to notify you of your number and if you win. You will only get one entry even if you enter both ways.

I will record a random number generator and announce the winner in the last Monday video of August. This giveaway will be held on August 30th (08/30/2021). So, entries will be capped and stopped as of 08/27/2021 Midnight ( 12:00 AM CST) and, to the best of my ability, all entrants will be notified of their entry number. This will be based on when one entered starting with 1 and ending with however many end up entering.

I am so excited to give this prize away and can’t wait to record that video!

A little over a month from now the lucky winner will be announced.

Good luck!

Keep it going,

Touchstones and Limiting Beliefs

Hi all,

It’s a beautiful Wednesday in the Ozarks. I hope your day has been going well. I got some good sleep so feel much better today.

I wanted to touch a bit on beliefs. We all were brought into this world and landed into a world of beliefs. I’m not referring specifically to faith or religion here. The beliefs I refer to here are often deeper from my experience. If you grew up somewhere in lower middle class to poverty it’s extremely possible you were raised around a lot of limiting beliefs. Even if you were raised fairly financially well off you likely have at least some of these. They could be still floating in not only your concious mind but embedded into your subconscious.

*Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees.

*You can’t do anything right.

*Get Your Head Out of The Clouds.

*Life Isn’t a Game.

*Grow up!

There are more infamous sayings I could list here, but I think that’s enough to get my point across. I didn’t grow up in a household that I didn’t get tastes of these beliefs myself. Yes, that’s what these sayings are. They are all beliefs. There’s a question you need to ask yourself if you find yourself echoing one of these or any other limiting belief.

Does this serve me?

If you truly feel you it is somehow helping you to be happier, healthier and more at peace then it’s not limiting you. For most though, we say these things to ourself as a sort of excuse for why something didn’t happen or why we shouldn’t try something. They are the essence of limitation.

How do you work beyond these limitations? Well, there are numerous methods and you should find what feels right to you. I use many myself.

One of the more basic is stones or gems. I have always liked rocks. I used to collect them as a little kid and keep them on a shelf. Unique shapes or shades drew my eye and it was picked up. As I got older I researched what they were and what beliefs were associated with the type of rock. To this day if I see a stone I like I often will pick it up. These days, though, that often means paying someone. haha!

These rocks have literally become my touchstones that I will use in a variety of fashions to help my peace.

Some of my stones 7/21/21

Do these stones actually have power? They may or it may only be my positive beliefs in them recycled back to me. Either way they help me. That is all that matters. They help me dispel limiting beliefs.

Find your own versions of touchstones. This will help you on whatever your journey is.

How Much Water?

Hi all,

There’s a health myth people love to spread. I’m not here to dispel it but I want to address it.

Myth: You should drink half your body weight in ounces.

Basically they’re saying if you weigh 200lbs drink 100 ounces of water a day. That means ( get this) Me at just over 309 lbs would need to drink 150ounces. That’s over a gallon of water a day.

Currently I am drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day. Doing this, my urine is basically clear except first thing in the morning and I have to go to the bathroom every 2 hours. That means I am definitely hydrated. I have zero symptoms of dehydration.

I used to drink only 4-6 cups most days and yes my urine was darker but not unhealthy dark and I was going to the bathroom every 3-4 hours.

Now, keep in mind, I’m sedentary for my job. I’m in a fairly temp controlled room. So, I don’t sweat much when not working out or outside. If you sweat more you need more water and salt.

There is just no way I could ever drink a gallon of water a day unless working hard outside. I already struggle to drink 9 cups most days because I don’t feel thirsty.

So, basically, what I’m saying is, yes water is very important but everyone is unique. There is no one size fits all number for how much to drink.

Rules of thumb say your urine should be a light yellow to clear and you should go to the bathroom every 2-3 hours. Don’t be bullied into half drowning yourself because of a myth. If you want to drink more do it. Just make sure you do drink enough. Don’t over hydrate.
